This Privacy Policy explains how Markahead handles your data. We believe in complete transparency about your privacy.

1. Your Data Stays Yours

Markahead is designed with privacy at its core:

  • All data is stored in your private iCloud account - We never see, access, or store your achievements on our servers
  • No external servers - Your data never leaves Apple’s ecosystem
  • No account required - Just install and start using the app with your existing iCloud account
  • No tracking or analytics - We don’t collect usage data, analytics, or telemetry

2. What Data is Stored

Markahead stores the following data locally on your device and in your private iCloud:

  • Achievements - Title, description, points, date, category, and tags
  • Categories - Names, emojis, and colors you create
  • Tags - Names and emojis you create
  • Settings - Your preferences like timezone, notification times, and display options

All of this data is synced via CloudKit to your private iCloud database. Only you can access this data through devices signed into your Apple ID.

3. iCloud Sync

Markahead uses Apple’s CloudKit framework to sync your data:

  • Data syncs automatically between your iOS devices
  • Sync happens through Apple’s secure infrastructure
  • We have no access to your CloudKit container
  • You can disable iCloud sync in iOS Settings if preferred

4. No Data Collection

We do not collect:

  • Personal information
  • Usage analytics
  • Crash reports (unless you opt into Apple’s analytics)
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers
  • Any form of tracking data

5. Third-Party Services

Markahead includes an optional AI analysis feature that uses external AI services:

  • AI Analysis - When you choose to analyze your achievements with AI, your achievement data is sent to the AI provider for processing
  • This feature is completely optional and only activates when you explicitly request it
  • The AI provider’s privacy policy applies to data processed through their service

6. Data Deletion

To delete your Markahead data:

  1. Delete the app - This removes all local data from your device
  2. Clear iCloud data - Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Markahead and delete the data

Since we don’t store any data on our servers, deleting from your device and iCloud completely removes all your data.

7. Children’s Privacy

Markahead does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
